Captain
is Zareba's
most titled and most "famous" dog. In 2006, he was awarded the RRCUS
Versatility Certificate, one of only 8 dogs in the country to get the
award that year. As his owner/handler, it was such an accomplishment
for us. That same year, he also finished in the RRCUS Top 20
Obedience and sired his first litter.
He
is a dream dog. With his rock solid temperament, happy and outgoing yet
laid back
personality and fun loving antics he always knows how to bring a smile
to your
face. He is very driven and loves to work for me, he’s led a
very busy life and
has taken it in stride knowing he’s always the one at my
side. In the show
ring, he’s a natural crowd pleaser and feeds off of the
attention so it makes
it hard to leave him at home now that
he’s retired.
Always by
my side, Captain
is my best friend. If I go for a walk he’s there or
sit on the couch, he’s in my lap. Captain is also a
counter-cleaning machine! His most recent edibles include a wooden
spoon and Rubbermaid Tupperware...
Captain’s
fluid movement and correct type have
earned him many Best of Breed’s over top ranked specials
throughout the years.
He also finished his championship with 4 majors including back-to-back
5 point
majors under age 2.
At the Orance
Coast Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Regional Specialty, Captain won Best
Veteran and won The Am/Mex CH Rob Norm’s Diamond Jim Brady
Memorial Challenge Trophy. A silver-plated 15” Georgian Round
Tray with Handles by Oneida offered by Myrna and Joe Berger for
competition at OCRRC Specialty Shows only. It was quite a day for 10.5
year-old Captain!
True beauty knows no age, even
as a veteran Captain continues to prove this. He can't be stopped...
